Location and Meeting Point
Location: The tour explores the regions of Inari, Saariselkä, and Ivalo, with destinations chosen based on weather conditions and aurora visibility to maximize your chances of experiencing the Northern Lights.
Meeting Point: The meeting point is flexible and will be arranged at a convenient location selected by you, such as your accommodation in the Inari, Saariselkä, or Ivalo area. Your guide will coordinate with you directly to confirm the details.
What to Bring
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable walk, please dress in warm, layered clothing suitable for winter conditions. Below is a recommended checklist to help you prepare:
Clothing
Base Layer: Warm, moisture-wicking base layers to keep you dry and comfortable.
Mid Layer: A warm sweater or fleece for insulation.
Outer Layer: A ski jacket or parka and insulated pants (like ski pants or similar).
Footwear
Warm, insulated winter boots with good grip for snowy trails. Avoid regular sneakers or thin-soled shoes, as they won’t provide adequate warmth or traction.

Aurora Viewing: Stop at carefully selected spots to take in the beauty of the Northern Lights. Warm up with a hot drink and snack while enjoying the Arctic stillness.
Flexible Ending: If the auroras appear toward the end of the tour, we’ll extend the time to ensure you don’t miss the experience.

What happens if we can’t see the Northern Lights? If weather conditions make it unlikely to see the auroras, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Do I need special clothing? Please dress warmly in layered winter clothing, including insulated pants, boots, gloves, a hat, and a scarf. A water-resistant outer layer is also recommended.
Is transportation to the meeting point included? Yes, this tour includes pickup from a location of your choice within the Inari, Saariselkä, or Ivalo area. Your guide will coordinate with you to confirm the exact meeting point.
Is the tour suitable for everyone? The tour is suitable for most people, but please note that the back seat of the 4x4 is less comfortable.
