Deposits and Payment

• Expeditions:

  • A full refund is available for cancellations up to 70 days before the trip (see Cancellation Policy).

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 70 days before departure. Failure to make the payment on time may result in the cancellation of your booking.

• Day Tours:

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

 

Cancellation Policy

• Expeditions:

  • 70+ days: Full refund

  • 45 to 70 days: 50% refund

  • 30 to 45 days: 20% refund

  • <30 days: No refund

• Day Tours:

  • Cancel >24 hours: Full refund.

  • Cancel <24 hours or no-show: No refund.

 

Rescheduling Policy

• Expeditions:
  Rescheduling requests must be made in writing. Additional charges may apply to cover non-refundable costs from third-party suppliers or logistical changes.

• Day Tours:
  Rescheduling is free if requested more than 24 hours in advance. If changes require new bookings with suppliers (e.g., restaurants, cabins), guests may need to cover these costs. We will always inform you of any additional charges in advance.

 

Travel and Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and liability. This is especially important for expeditions, which involve inherent risks and costs for remote activities. Boreal Forest Expeditions is not responsible for costs arising from flight delays, missed transfers, or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

Behavior and Conduct

Participants must behave responsibly toward guides, other guests, and the environment. Alcohol and drug use during trips are prohibited and may result in removal without a refund. Respect for local customs, wildlife, and natural surroundings is expected at all times.

 

Medical and Safety

Participants are required to inform us of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate. For safety reasons, we may exclude individuals from activities if necessary. If you have specific mobility or dietary requirements, please notify us in advance so we can accommodate you where possible.

 

Photography Policy

Photos and videos taken during trips may be used for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, notify us in writing before the trip. By not providing such notice, you consent to the use of your likeness.

 

Liability and Assumed Risk

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including unpredictable weather, wildlife, and physical demands. Participants acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for their actions. Boreal Forest Expeditions is not liable for loss, damage, or injury except in cases of gross negligence.

 

Force Majeure

Boreal Forest Expeditions is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, political unrest, or natural disasters. In such cases, we will offer rescheduling or credit toward a future trip wherever possible. Refunds may not be available for certain pre-paid costs.
